Primark Haul

Since becoming a student I've had to change soooo much in terms of my lifestyle- no more regular shopping trips to Topshop, Zara etc.; no more impromptu meals out and cinema visits...

It's taken a few months, but I'm finally coming to grips with life as an estudiante and in doing so have grown to love Primark!

I have to admit that before I had to seriously tighten my purse strings, the idea of stepping into that heaving and, to be quite honest, pretty cluttered shop turned my stomach. However, the other day, when in desperate need of some woolly pyjamas to combat the freezing conditions of my room (thanks to the world's worst heater), I ventured into Primani and...was pleasantly surprised!

I spent a few hours wandering around the massive Oxford Street shop and, on my way, picked up some real gems that I thought NEEDED to be shared...

Statement necklaces are my thiiiing, I love them and, for £4, I simply couldn't resist!

This black and white shirt was £10- bargain!

I absolutely LOVE this dress! I saw the green version on Holly Willoughby and thought it looked amazing, so when I saw it was only £15 it went straight in my basket!

These woolly Christmas pyjama bottoms were what I initially came for, and you can believe my joy when I saw that they were only £6 each! They're so comfortable and warm (definitely help with the freezing temperature of my room!)

This green skirt really caught my eye- very Christmassy! I love the colour, and the price was even better! £3!! I thought Christmas really had come early!

Who can resist some Christmas socks to get one in the mood for the best holiday known to man! Every time I wear them I feel all happy and, well, Christmassy!- £3 too <3

I severely do regret my decision to neglect Primark in the past, and I'm most certainly going to return ASAP...I'm actually in need of a jumper...!!

Have you uncovered any gems in Primark and care to share?! If so, comment below!

Christmas Wish List

'The holiday's are coming, the holidays are coming...'

Coca Cola advert-inspired opening line there, which, along with the John Lewis advert and Oxford Street Christmas lights switch on that I went to see, have this week convinced me that yes, my favourite time of the year is FINALLY upon us! 'It's Christttmaaaaassssss' (If you didn't scream that in your head, slade-style, then you're not doing it right)

Another thing that convinced me that the Christmas season was once again here, was the yearly phone call from my mum asking me what is on my wish list.

Gone are the days I would spend sat in front of the TV cutting out pictures from the Argos catalogue, and sticking them onto a paper marked 'For Santa', nowadays I have to actually use my brain-dangerous, I know- to think practically about what would be both useful and practical...

It's always a toughie, and there always comes a day a few weeks after Christmas where I remember what it was I said I would 'definitely ask for come Christmas time', but subsequently forgot about and so have to go out and buy for myself...

But this year I decided to kick this annoying habit and instead treat myself to a few hours of TV, Christmas tunes, a hot chocolate and a good old search on't Internet, to come up with my 'Ultimate Christmas Wish List', and here it is for you lovely people....

1) Ted Baker Geo Print Large Wash Bag- I'm a sucker for anything TB
2) ASOS Chain Torque Necklace - love this necklace
3) ASOS T-Shirt with Textured Cracked Print- love this print

Simply a few of my favourite things...

I cannot believe it's been so long since I wrote something! I do apologise! I'm just getting into the swing of things at uni i.e. essays and deadlines, plus trying to sample all that London has to offer, whilst attempting to find a job! But, I know, they're no excuse for not updating my beloved blog!

So, whilst I've been absent from here I have obtained some new favourite clothes, music and places- and they're exactly what I'm going to dedicate this post to...

1) My new coat.
It's FINALLY time to pull on the big coats, fluffy scarves and gloves as winter is upon us! I have to admit it's my favourite time of the year, and going to the Oxford Street Christmas Lights switch on yesterday just confirmed it! Christmas is the best, and its even better when you have a new coat to wear everyday leading up to it! I found this one in Next, with the oxblood colour first drawing me to it. It's so warm and comfy with the fur collar, and is peplum style (my favourite style, as it hides all the sins) =LOVE.

2) 'Roots'- Orla Gartland
I was flicking through the newest songs on iTunes the other day and saw the word 'FREE'. Now, as a student I felt obliged to take full advantage of such an offer and so immediately downloaded it- and I'm so glad I did! It's become one of my favourite songs of this month and I have it on repeat during those crowded and long tube journeys to uni! I think it should still be on iTunes and, if it is, I urge you to get it! She has such a lovely voice and the song is beautiful- I've not been able to get it out of my head for days!

3) Café Nero's 'Low fat Blueberry Muffins'-
One word: DEVINE. And, low in fat (in case it's name didn't already give that away...). Who could resist? Well, not me! I buy at least one a week since discovering them, and never feel guilty for doing so.

4) My new boots.
Since I broke the heel of my boots on the way back from a night out (don't ask me how because I can't remember, which is not a good sign!), I have been on the hunt for some replacement ones. My broken ones were from Dorothy Perkins and had served me well, so I headed back there to see if I could lay my hands on some more. And that's where I found these ones. They're uber comfortable, and the crocodile skin detail on the heel is beaut.

5) Wahaca
I simply love Mexican food and since moving to London it has become part of my weekly diet. I've tried a few different Mexican restaurants whilst I've been here, but Wahaca has to be my fave. The atmosphere is great, and the food is even better. It's quick service and the staff are all lovely. I went for a selection of dishes, which has changed each time I've been there because there's just so much choice! But, my desert of Chocolate y Churros has remained the same each time! I first had these on an exchange trip in Malaga, Spain and so, when I spotted them on the menu, simply HAD to order them again- for memories sake! Soooooo gooooood!
